The Best Card Ever.

First, let me say Happy Mother's Day to my own mutti, and all the other wonderful mothers I know. And, for your viewing pleasure, the e-card my sister sent our mom:

You have to click the flowers on either side of the image. Click the 'what we say' flowers first, then click the corresponding 'what Mom hears' flower. You'll definitely want sound.

Now, on to business. Well, Dogwood Donna is now underway, as is my Very First Pair of Socks!

How about some gratuitous yarn porn?

First is a birthday package for my good friend Laura in Mississippi. She's recently started knitting, but has only been able to purchase yarn at Wal-Mart. That needed to be rectified. So her mother enlisted my help in finding her good yarn. I sent her two balls of Berroco Keltic, one ball of Knit One Crochet Too Ty-Dy, and two balls of Noro Hotaru.

And second is the yarn that Becky gave me, apparently just because. Three hanks of dyed fisherman's wool from Beaverslide Dry Goods, a family-owned business in Montana. The wheels in my strange little head are already turning...I get to keep the basket, too. Thank you so much, Becky.

This past Friday, I knit in public for the very first time. I was taking the train to see my brother's play, and wouldn't you just know it, I sat next to a knitter. Her name is Maxine and she gave me a 20 year old afghan pattern--she's knit 25 of them and was working on a baby blanket version on the train.

That's pretty much all I can think of at the moment....Maybe I'll go drink an exspresso.

I love the card for your mom, it was hysterical. My kids kind of sound like the teacher on Charlie Brown. Wa Wa Wa?

I have some green yarn, like the blue I gave you, and the gauge is just right for the CPH.

I have had another marathon of dead like me. Yeeeeeeeeeeee haaaa
